Market Night was a day filled with creativity, innovation, and inspiration. The event provided a platform for talented individuals who were participating in UPF Show to showcase their collections and products in a beautiful setting with stunning mountain views and a growing community wanting to see more Pacific fashion and products.
One of the highlights of the day was the opportunity to connect with members of the local Pacific community from Utah and surrounding states. Even more special is meeting up with relatives - we met our mother's nephew Sai Matau and his lovely family who came by especially to see us. That was awesome!
Attendees also had the pleasure of meeting other designers and creative artists, exchanging insights, and gaining new perspectives. The event fostered a sense of camaraderie and collaboration among like-minded individuals who share a passion for Pasifika fashion, art and design.
It was so wonderful to meet Michael Tan and his wife who were promoting Matai Watches. Michael is also the owner of the Behind the Lavalava podcast which is a platform to highlight veterans, the vibrant people and culture of the Pacific and small businesses.
Enjoyed meeting the lovely ladies from Jeni's Sweets who make the most divine Otai Floats!! We couldn't get enough of these.. so yum!!
Overall, the day at the Hale Theatre Centre was a testament to the power of community, creativity, and collaboration. It was a reminder of the importance of coming together to support and uplift one another in the pursuit of artistic excellence. We watched through large windows the sun set behind the mountains, casting a warm glow over the gathering - a perfect setting to celebrate being Pacific!!
