At MENA, fashion is more than what we wear, it’s a way of honouring who we are. Born from a proud Samoan family and deeply rooted in the beauty of our Polynesian culture, every piece we create carries an essence of home. Inspired by the colours, textures, and spirit of the Pacific, our designs reflect the beauty of our islands, and the people who bring them to life.

Founded in 2002 by our mother Mena Loheni and her four daughters – Agnes, Jackie, Gina, and Charlene, MENA began with a simple yet powerful vision: to honour our Pacific heritage through clothing that celebrates culture, family, and identity. What started as a small, family-led dream has grown into a trusted label that carries the spirit of Polynesia through beautiful Pacific designs, rooted in our culture.  

Inspired by our Samoan heritage and New Zealand upbringing, we create clothing that blends traditional prints with modern styles for those who cherish Polynesian fashion. Our mother, Mena, taught us the importance of carrying ourselves with pride, respect, and putting love into everything we do. Her example continues to guide us. Every print we design tells a story, our mother’s, and now our family’s. 

From the first sketch to the final stitch, each piece is crafted with care and intention, reflecting the beauty of our culture and the pride we carry in our work. Every design is thoughtfully made, staying true to who we are and ensuring each design is authentically our own. 

 

 

Today, we continue to evolve, honouring our heritage while embracing modern values. For over 20 years, MENA has dressed women across Aotearoa, Australia, Samoa, Tonga, the USA and beyond, becoming part of countless celebrations, milestones, and everyday moments. 

We are proudly size-inclusive, creating fashion that celebrates the strength, beauty, and diversity of women around the world. From our Pacific roots outward, each piece is designed to honour every shape, every curve, and every story. We truly believe every woman deserves to feel seen, confident, and beautifully herself. 

Our menswear is designed with the same intention and pride, offering shirts that are smart, versatile, and rooted in culture. Made to suit a wide range of sizes and builds, each piece is crafted for comfort, ease, and everyday wear. Whether it’s for a celebration or something more casual, our menswear reflects identity, connection, and pride in our Pacific heritage.

Sustainability: Every Piece Has a Place

From the beginning, our Mother Mena taught us that nothing should go to waste, and that even the smallest fabric scraps can be transformed into something special. As children, we fell asleep to the hum of our mother’s sewing machine late into the night. She would stitch life into fabric, turning whatever we had into something beautiful. Nothing was ever wasted.

That lesson lives on in MENA. Every garment we create is made with care and intention. We take pride in our sustainable approach, repurposing leftover fabric into unique one-off pieces, handmade purses, and home accessories. In other cases, when our fabrics no longer find a place in our creations, we pass them on so others can bring new life to them in their own way.

This commitment not only reduces textile waste, but also allows us to craft meaningful, limited-edition pieces that carry the same love and attention to detail as our core collections. It’s how we stay true to our cultural roots and our responsibility to the environment, creating with purpose, respecting our resources, and finding beauty in everything made.
